Arrival is through a pine forest 2 minutes walk from the main road, where there is car park for about 5 euros a day. it is possible to arrive from Alghero by bus or on foot, about 1/2 hour walk. it is possible to rent parasols in some parts of the beach but useful to bring your own. A rest in the pine forest at lunch time is superb.

The beach at Maria Pia is quieter than the Lido. It also has very little seaweed so no nasty smells like the Lido. The sea here is so clear - lots of little fish swimming in the shallows..
